Surajit Misra is the Managing Director & Head of the Independent Financial Distributors Group at JM Financial Services. He leads the distribution business for mutual funds and primary market products, including IPOs and fixed-income offerings.

With over 25 + years of experience in the financial services industry, he has extensive expertise in channel sales, retail distribution, business development, and partner relationship management. Prior to joining JM Financial Services, he had a long and successful tenure with Bajaj Capital Ltd., where he played a key role in strengthening and expanding the company’s mutual fund distribution business. Over the years, he has been instrumental in formulating growth strategies, driving sales performance, and building strong partnerships across the distribution ecosystem.

Mr. Misra holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Finance) and has completed an Advanced Certification in Sales Force Management from the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad.
